House Rules for Plamfy Viewers

Short, practical rules for rooms and private calls. Most of them come down to treating the person on screen and the other viewers like people you would like to see again.

What are the house rules in a live room?

Be the kind of viewer you would want in your own living room. Say hello, keep it friendly, don't flood the chat, and remember the person on screen is a real person reading every line. No nudity, no sexual requests, no insults, no spam, and no asking anyone for money or contact details.

Rooms are shared spaces. Everyone in a room reads the same chat, so a message aimed at one person lands on everybody. If you wouldn't say it out loud in a busy bar, don't type it in a room.

Regulars set the tone in most rooms. When a newcomer says hello, a quick welcome from the people who have been there for an hour makes the room friendlier for everyone, including the person streaming, who notices which viewers make her evening easier.

  • Greet her and the room; a hello and where you are from is the classic opener.
  • Don't repeat the same message over and over or paste long blocks of text.
  • Don't argue with other viewers in her chat. Take it elsewhere or let it go.
  • No links to other sites, no advertising, and no promoting your own accounts.
  • Respect the room's own notes. Some people pin their preferences; follow them.

How should you talk to the person who's live?

Like you would talk to someone you have just met at a party: warmly, with interest in her, and without demands. Ask about the song she is playing or how her day went before you talk about yourself, and read the room chat for a minute first.

If she doesn't answer straight away, she is probably reading other messages or in the middle of something. Wait, and try again later. Repeating yourself louder never helps. If she says no to something, that is the end of it. Viewers who respect that are the ones she remembers fondly the next night.

What gets a viewer removed?

Anything that makes a room or a call unsafe or unpleasant for others. The most common reasons are sexual requests and explicit messages, harassment of the person streaming or of other viewers, asking for money or contact details, and spam. Threats or hate speech of any kind are taken seriously.

Depending on what happened, Plamfy can remove a message, restrict an account from chatting, suspend it or close it. The full wording is in the Terms of Service. If you were removed from a room and think it was a mistake, email support with the room, the time and your display name.

Private calls have the same rules

A private video chat is not a place where the rules relax. No nudity, no pressure, no asking for money, no capturing or sharing what happens on someone's screen without consent. Introduce yourself, be polite, and say goodbye before you hang up.

Your own camera view matters too. Keep it clean of personal details, and keep yourself dressed the way you would be on any other call with someone new. The private video chat page has more on making calls go well.

What should you report?

Report anything that breaks the rules above, and especially anyone who asks for money, tries to move you to another app or a phone number, pressures you, or threatens to share a call or messages, even if it only happened once.

Report from the room's report icon if it happened in a room, or from the person's profile if it happened in messages or a call.

You don't need to be sure a rule was broken to report. If something felt wrong, say what happened in a line or two and let the team look at it. The safety habits page explains what to do in the moment.

Gifts and coins etiquette

Gifts are a thank-you, never a ticket to special treatment. Send what you planned to and don't expect anything in return. Equally, nobody on Plamfy should pressure you to send more; if a room makes you feel that way, swipe on.

Never send money outside the site, and never accept an offer to "sell" or "transfer" coins. Coins stay in your own wallet, as explained on the free to start, then coins page.

Messages after the stream

The same manners apply when you message someone after watching her room. Say who you are and which stream you enjoyed, then give her time to answer; people who stream get a lot of messages, and a reply can take a while or not come at all. Sending the same line again, or a string of messages in a row, makes a reply less likely.

Keep it simple if you don't share a language. Text messages can be translated automatically, but jokes and slang rarely survive the trip, so short, friendly sentences work best. Never ask for her number, her other accounts or money, and don't offer yours.

Viewers don't stream on Plamfy, so your own camera only appears in a call you start; about Plamfy explains why, and the rooms themselves are in the Live tab on the Plamfy home page.
